Thanks for the feedback Andrew, they are changes that many asked for, however Ensign presented a good counter argument to speebuffs not making much difference.

Hmm, interesting nerfs/buffs. The change to pleak will help a lot. Same for pious... no more super power on the x/rit or rit/x runners.

Nice nerfs. Have they considered buffing anything yet? I haven't seen any good, lasting buffs in over 2 months. The blood magic, sacrifice hp spells don't count... -_-

I'm just curious, because it seems that offensive skills keep getting nerfed, and things like self-heals get buffed. I take it you guys are purposely trying to slow down the game's pace, so that people with sub-par reaction can play just as well as people who have good reaction?

The speed boosts will make a difference, just not for flagging. Djinn's Haste changes are ehhh, won't make a difference and would have been better off with a lower duration to force more recasts than a speed reduction. Pious Haste slags the skill, which is good for containing gankers even if I'll miss the half dozen or so kills we got a month from our opponents deciding Pious Haste was better than going /A.

It'll be interesting to see how good Power Leak is on a 20r; I'm still a bit wary of the raw amount of energy it can destroy.

The Victory is Ours only received 1/3 of the change it needed, in the long history of being quick to make radical changes and slow to revert them.

You should read some of the threads discussing pvp. They are trying to promote more splittable builds, among other stuff.

Anyway, small update, but great changes. Nice job on this one.

I would imagine because this is function that the designers want to play around with a bit more. That is certainly not to say there wont be additional changes or complete removal in the future, it is just a bit heavy-handed to try a new function out once and then completely scrap it without trying to tweak it into a more desirable state.

the DP sig nerf is interesting, but if they want more splittable builds, why do they nerf the speed buff skills?

Good job on them skill balances.

Well:

- Pious Haste could be kept up 100% of the time without any major drawback = Overpowered
- Djinn Skills, they were balatenly overpowered.

it was a bit heavy handed to have even put in that disgusting skill in the first place

wasn't the implementation heavy handed. 1 npc still gives a 10% boost.

I think the nerfs on the runner skills could have been better balanced out by decreasing the recharge, as said by others. However I like it that an update actually rolls out fast after a discussion was started about this.

Nice change on enchanters, now I dont need to fish Shatter, jeej.

actually, they did a surprisingly subtle thing, imo. they are slowly nerfing down powerful split builds and skills while increasing split power. could create more balance, i guess. or not.

just from an HAers pov, the nerf to storm djinns and flame djinns are completly shit since you didnt touch make haste at all, which is a million times stronger than those ever were. Ive been wanting to see a make haste nerf for a long time considering

its unstrippable
its easy to apply
its hard to shutdown

(on HoH map)

Nerfing Pious Haste's duration is something I'm not happy with because the drawback, which might not seem relevant 95% of the time on a rit, becomes deadly serious when the rit needs monk prot to close the final few paces to a well defended flagstand. The one thing it did well was be up 100% of the time if you wanted it.

Dash+Dark Escape blow this Pious Haste out of the water, not just for the speed. Half damage when running the flag in is win.

RIP Pious Haste?
